State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has recognized the importance of nutrition in the first 1000 days of life and the significant role parents play, during a visit to one of Save the Children’s flagship nutrition programmes in Pakokku.
Children representatives from 14 states and regions across the country have come together at the National Children’s Forum to raise their voices and call on parliament members to take legislative action on the problems affecting them.
Save the Children has released a report highlighting the realities of urban poverty across the city and calling for investment in programming to prevent long term, irreversible trends in many family’s economic and social conditions.
