Project Assistant (Nutrition - ANS)


To facilitate the effective and successful planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Antenatal Support Programme (ANS) activities in the Township - in collaboration with the Project Officers, Programme coordinator through supervision of assigned staff.

Budget Responsibilities: No financial approval

Role Dimensions: No regular contact


  • Ensure community mobilization, and facilitate community-based ANS project activities through regular interaction with children and community members, including providing training, guidance and support. 
  • Supervise and provide on the job training to Community Development Facilitator and/or Community Peer counsellor. This include liaison with other sectors to ensure integrated intervention and optimum services delivery. 
  • Compile and analyse ANS centres (Sittwe area, Rakhine State) data and complete all relevant documents. 
  • Assist and facilitate capacity building workshops for variety of stakeholders. 
  • Assist in procurement of materials, supplies and maintenance of project equipment and repair. 
  • Liaise with IDP camps (Sittwe Area, Rakhine State) and village authorities regarding the project activities as necessary. 
  • Assist supervisor in preparing work plan and budget estimation. 
  • Keep records of activities, and report regularly and as requested on programme progress. 
  • Take steps to ensure that the programme benefits the poorest and most disadvantaged children. 
  • Any other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.

Child Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all beneficiaries of your program are receiving ongoing, age-appropriate verbal or written information in relevant languages about Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.


  • Any graduate or equivalent
  • Nursing degree, Midwife certificate and Health related degree with recent experience preferable


  • At least one-year professional working experience in health especially MNCH sector preferred. 
  • Proven team working ability. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Computer proficiency (or at least willingness to learn). 
  • Ability to live and travel in remote locations, and ability to speak local language.
  • Interest & willingness to learn from community. 
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles. 
  • Essential reading, writing, understanding and speaking English.
  • Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Professional working experience with international organizations preferable.
  • Proven team working ability.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work in difficult environment according to time restriction.

Contract - Full-Time
